What the warning means
Twitch lets a publisher attach rewards to a campaign that only paid subscribers can claim. The campaign still appears in your Drops list, and a stream may still be live and advertising it, but the reward is gated behind a subscription rather than behind watch time.
When SwiftMiner sees a campaign in this state it lists it under Pending on the miner, and under Subscription required in the web dashboard. It does not spend watch time on drops it cannot deliver.
Why SwiftMiner does not mine them anyway
Watching a subscription-gated drop earns nothing. The progress bar may even advance on Twitch's side, but the reward is withheld at claim time. Spending a miner on that campaign would take watch time away from campaigns it can actually finish, so SwiftMiner treats the campaign as ineligible and moves on to the next prioritised game.
A campaign can be partly gated. Where only some of its drops need a subscription, SwiftMiner mines the rest as normal and reports the count that is gated.
Your options
There is no way for a miner to work around this — it is a Twitch entitlement, not a SwiftMiner limitation. What you can do:
- Subscribe to the channel or publisher named by the campaign, then let the miner run. Once Twitch sees the entitlement the drop becomes claimable.
- Mute the reminder from the Pending item if you have decided not to subscribe. SwiftMiner stops raising it for that campaign on that account, and the item stays in the list with a Remind me button to undo it.
- Exclude the game in Settings if none of its campaigns are worth the queue position. See Game Priorities, Exclusions & Fallback Streamers.
Discord notifications
If the Discord integration is enabled and the miner is linked to a Discord account, SwiftMiner can send a DM when a prioritised campaign turns out to be subscription-gated. The DM names the campaign and links to it in your web dashboard.
These reminders are controlled by the Action required notification type in Settings > Integrations. Turning it off stops the automatic DM; you can still send one by hand from the Pending item. See Notifications.
Not the same as account linking
A subscription requirement is not the same problem as an unlinked publisher account. If the warning asks you to link an EA, Ubisoft, Riot, or similar account, the reward is not gated behind payment and the fix is different — see Twitch Drops Not Progressing on Mac.
