Manage Notifications

Stay informed. Learn how SwiftMiner uses macOS system alerts to notify you of completed claims, campaign summaries, or authentication actions.

SwiftMiner integrates directly with the macOS Notification Center to keep you updated on background activity. Because the app often runs minimized or in Menu Bar mode, these notifications are the best way to verify that your miners are progressing normally without constantly checking the main window.

Notification Events

SwiftMiner will trigger a macOS system notification in response to the following events:

  • Drop Claimed: Triggered as soon as a Twitch reward has been successfully claimed. The notification displays the item name, image, and which Twitch account earned it.
  • Campaign Complete: Triggered when all available Drops in an active game campaign have been successfully completed and claimed.
  • Twitch Connection Expired (Needs Auth): Sent as a high-priority warning if a Twitch session is invalidated, prompting you to re-authenticate so farming can resume.
  • Errors & Stalls: Sent if a miner encounters repeated failures or is unable to connect to Twitch services.

Troubleshoot missing alerts

If SwiftMiner is running and claims are shown in the Activity Log but you are not receiving alerts on your screen, check your macOS system preferences:

  1. Verify macOS settings:

Open System Settings > Notifications on your Mac. Scroll down and locate SwiftMiner in the application list. Ensure that Allow Notifications is toggled to ON.

  2. Check Alert Style:

In SwiftMiner's notification settings, make sure the alert style is set to either Banners (disappears automatically) or Alerts (stays on screen until dismissed). If it is set to None, notifications will only appear in the Notification Center list without showing banner cards.

  3. Disable Do Not Disturb / Focus:

If you have Do Not Disturb, Work, or Sleep Focus modes enabled, macOS will block incoming banners. You can add SwiftMiner as an allowed application to bypass Focus filters:
Go to System Settings > Focus, select your active Focus mode, choose Allowed Apps, and click the + button to add SwiftMiner.
